About Ty

Hello! My name is Ty, thank you for visiting my tutor profile. I have an academic background in social anthropology which I have studied at the graduate level as a student at the University of Oxford. I have tutoring experience in a range of subjects including English, writing, reading, social studies and social science, humanities, philosophy, US history, as well as elementary and middle school math and science. I have tutored students of all ages and educational backgrounds, ranging from elementary aged students to those enrolled in college programs. My aim as a tutor is to provide a collaborative educational experience that responds to the particular academic needs, interests, and goals of my students. To this end, I devote attention not only to the academic work that I am helping students with, but also to bigger considerations of how our collaboration is opening up new learning possibilities.
