Russian is a challenging language, but learning it can be fun! I majored in Russian at Middlebury College in Vermont, I studied at Pushkin Language Institute in Moscow, and I was a graduate student and Russian instructor at Georgetown University. I have over 20 years of experience as a professional translator and interpreter.
Learning Russian has taken me to many interesting places. In addition to traveling all around the former Soviet countries, I interpreted for President Bill Clinton at the White House, I have the "voice of interpreter" on CNN, C-SPAN and network news programs, and I have had the chance to meet and interpret for presidents, cosmonauts, human rights activists, and many other interesting people.
Knowing Russian has created many great experiences for me, and I would love to help you learn this beautiful language.
Russian is the main subject that I tutor, but I also have degrees in law and political science, along with many years of experience in state government and the practice of law. So I would be happy to work with you in these areas too.
