Hi! I am a 24 year old student in college, currently earning a Bachelor's in Marine Biology with a minor in Gender and Women's Studies at Hawaii Pacific University. My major/minor is a great expression of myself, a STEM enthusiast that aspires to save the ocean and a sociologist, obsessed with understanding people, communities and cultures. I have over 5 years experience in education from various positions, which has given me a well-rounded knowledge of teaching. I am an AmeriCorps alumni, if you are familiar with that; essentially a government volunteer working within public schools. I served with AmeriCorps for 3 years across 3 different school districts (Chicago, Miami, Denver). I specialize in fundamentals, most of my work has been in a schoolhouse (K-12), by assessing where you are, understanding where you need to be and then creating the bridge through individualized learning.
