Qualifications & Experience

Hello there!

My name is Rebecca, I'm 27 and a graduate of UC Irvine's Psychology and Social Behavior program. I'm currently attending CSU Long Beach for my Masters in Social Work Monday and Wednesday afternoons and am due to graduate in June 2022. I passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) which qualifies me to substitute teach. I have about a decade of experience with kiddos, about 5 years with special needs, and about 3 with at-risk youth.

I'm comfortable teaching most subjects from elementary through High School aside from some AP courses. Although I can occasionally meet with students, I do prefer to tutor online.

I'm dyslexic and have ADHD, so I personally understand the frustration that can come with difficulty learning in a neuro-typical classroom setting. I am patient and can find multiple ways of getting to an answer. I strive to ensure clients fully understand the information and can recall and retain it.

I look forward to hearing from you and the opportunity to make learning enjoyable!
