I enjoy teaching and tutoring, to students and professionals. My favorite subjects are English/ESL, Mathematics [especially Algebra], Social Sciences [Economics, History], and Computer Science. As an amateur linguist, I studied a dozen languages in colleges or in-country. My international work included software development and support as well as teaching and seminars in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Junior College and K12 Teaching credentials are supported by degrees in all but English. For that, I developed skills on my own; completed TEFL and TESOL courses; and passed the California CSET exams. I have also developed a suite of supporting materials for ESL and/or serious students of English.
In addition, I work with students and working professionals needing: advice, proofreading and editing for college and graduate school applications and personal statements; general test strategies; and preparing for standardized tests, e.g., SAT, ACT, GMAT, and TEOFL.
