Every student has the capacity to learn, but some need extra help. As a tutor, I believe in personalized education that responds to the needs of the student. As a Creative Writing major and a published writer, my English skills are strong. I'm well-versed in literature (Shakespeare is one of my favorites), proficient in grammar, and excellent at teaching writing. I have worked in education for the past ten years with all manner of students, from teaching Japanese students English, to substituting for junior high and high schools, to working as a private AP English tutor. I've run critique groups that have helped budding novelists develop their writing skills and edited manuscripts for authors. I believe all people are capable of greatness, and I want to see students under my care reach their fullest potential.
