I earned a Ph.D. in civil engineering, specializing in transportation, from the University of Utah. I have ten years of experience as a full-time engineering professor, and ten years of experience as adjunct faculty. During the latter, I have taught engineering, mathematics, and science (chemistry, earth science, and physics) courses. Tutoring and teaching are different -- with tutoring, I look forward to working one-on-one with a student, in a learning environment that hopefully fits that student's needs. Working on basics and fundamentals is often the key to improved learning, a better understanding, and overall success(!).
