After graduating from UCSB with double majors in Law & Society and Sociology, I moved to New York to teach in the nation's toughest schools through Teach For America. I earned a Master's degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Teaching & Leadership from Pace University, and have been actively involved in education in multiple capacities ever since. I have extensive experience in working with students of all age groups from elementary through post-graduate school. As a master teacher, I have worked at Teach for America's Summer institute, training some of the brightest new educators in the country. I am also a practicing California attorney, life coach, and motivational speaker. My teaching philosophy begins with active engagement, meeting each learner where they are at, and creating a tailored plan to hit targeted goals. I specialize in English, Literature, Writing, organizational development, time management, and goal setting.
