Hi, I'm Isabel! I'm a caring and positive college student looking for some tutoring opportunities. I'm enrolled at Carleton College, having recently finished a gap year after graduating from Pacific Collegiate School in 2019.
This past year, I worked at the Kumon Learning Center as a tutor/classroom aide, where I worked with students ages 4-14 to develop their reading, writing, and math skills. In my private practice, I've worked with pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school students in math, science, English, Spanish, and study skills, among others. I believe an important part of one-on-one teaching is building confidence in the student and fostering their love of learning. I strive to create a positive learning experience for my students, so that they feel comfortable asking questions and understand that they are capable of mastering any concept or subject.
