Dear Future Students and Parents,

Passionate about the arts, I have spent my life personally seeing and studying how it can be applied to most aspects of life and storytelling! It can impact the lives of both young and old. I teach ages 8+ (and adults are welcome!), but will make an exception for a younger passionate art enthusiast.

My lessons are catered to your needs and interests to best engage both the student’s interest and creativity in ways that they find fun and exciting. From the art of single image paintings, color design, character and environment creation, storybook and comic book art, to 3D and 2D animation and utilizing both traditional mediums as well as computer software, you can select what inspires you! By following individual passions and interests, a unique plan will be made for each student with their individual skills in mind to best allow for an adaptive learning environment.

I received my Bachelor's in Illustration and Animation at California College of the Arts, and my Master of Fine Arts in Animation at Savannah School of Art and Design. I have an extensive background working in traditional mediums such as oil and acrylic paint, dry and oil pastels, charcoal, and color pencil. My digital experience includes Adobe Photoshop, AutoDesk Maya, Adobe Flash, UV Layout, and Adobe Illustrator. Some of the relevant fields of study at the university level include Portrait Figure Drawing, Advanced Figure Drawing, Intensive Painting, Oil Painting, Acrylic Painting, Flash Animation, Advanced Animation, Naturalistic Animation, Designing for Shot, Story Boarding, Sequential Illustration, Children's Book Illustration, Stop Motion Animation, 3D Production, Film Production, and Acting for Animators.

To maintain a high level of quality, I will ask for feedback and make sure the lessons are matching the desired content and goals both students and parents are aiming for. I try to be flexible with my time and meeting locations. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy and will schedule make-up days upon request. I will travel within a 15-mile radius of Sunnyvale, California, and have group rates.
