I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Redlands. I have been working with children of all skill levels and ages, teaching many different things, for 20 years. I've taught swimming, volunteered at elementary schools, and ran a reading program through LA Unified School District called the Wonder of Reading. I have worked for several tutoring agencies and currently I work for Torrance Unified School District in special education. I am very patient, fun, and empathetic. I understand that when a student needs a tutor they are already frustrated and discouraged. It is the tutor's role to restore and build the student's confidence as well as educate the student. A one on one situation means the tutor is going to get to know that student and understand the student's strengths in order to build on them.
