I have had a strong interest in mathematics since I was little, and I have always maintained excellent grades in my mathematics courses throughout my middle and high school years and my two years of community college. I have currently chosen to apply mathematics as my major at UCLA because of my love for it with my eagerness to receive higher education in mathematics and statistics. Through my passion for mathematics, I have taken a number of computer-related courses with programming languages, including C++, java, python, javascript, Matlab, and R. I have also spent time volunteering to teach elementary English for church congregations for half a year. I have been adjusting my lesson plans and improving my teaching policies based on the specific situation of every individual to achieve the most suitable plan for students. Even for students who slightly have a background in knowledge , I am still able to teach them carefully and patiently until they fully understand and adapt to the contents. I wish I could get this job opportunity during my year of studying for learning and consolidating my mathematical knowledge through the process of teaching, meanwhile, I also hope that I could be able to bring my mathematical knowledge and experiences in attracting more students to get interested in math and helping them improve their math knowledge.
