As a lover of languages and culture, I studied a B.A. in Spanish at California State University, Fullerton. While studying my undergraduate, I took a year to immerse myself in the language and culture of Spain, enhancing my listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
After having graduated Cum Laude, I returned to Spain where I have been living and teaching English for the past 5 years, assisting in English classes with students from 5-18 years old in various public schools throughout Galicia, Spain. This experience led me to experiment with teaching styles and interactive activities, especially with music.
Due to the teaching assistant position being part time, I also offered private one-to-one classes to students of all ages and levels, which I have enjoyed doing for the past 5 years.
In 2017, I successfully passed the DELE C1 (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) examination, the officially recognized qualification for proficiency and fluency in Spanish, issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport in Spain.
In order to further my teaching skills, I enrolled in an intensive teaching course, achieving my CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults,) which I have put to use as I have been teaching all ages and levels the past two years at a private English academy in Spain.
If you like Spanish or find it difficult, or if you are an English language learner, I would love to help guide you in your discovery of how lovely and fun learning languages can be!
