I have a Bachelors's Degree in Marriage and Family Studies with a focus on child development and learning processes. I have assisted in classroom tutoring with students in Kindergarten through 6th grade for more than 10 years. I have helped students that need an extra challenge in their studies as well as those that are working to reach grade level. I have primarily helped with reading and language arts, but I have also helped with math. I love to find new ways to approach and present information to help students feel that learning can be fun. I love to watch students feel the immediate reward when they have conquered a new concept and how it builds their confidence to move forward. I believe that everyone can be successful when they have someone who can meet their needs right where they are academically and with their self-confidence. I believe that there is success inside every student, and my goal is to help them discover this within themselves.
