My name is Melissa! I am currently a graduate student at San Francisco State University. My focus is English literature - Early Modern English, Victorian Literature, and poetry. I am open to tutoring students of all ages from K-12th and even undergraduate students, if needed. I am a very patient and passionate person. I love to see my students do well and have them feel good about the work they did. During my undergraduate, I interned at Davis Senior High, a public highschool in Davis. I assisted at-risk high school students who were struggling in classes due to familial issues and mental deficiencies. I consulted with salaried teachers while working one-on-one with the students to further my own understanding of each student’s unique needs as a way to better assist him/her in navigating the academic obstacles that high school presented. I have tutoring experience with students of all ages, including those with ADHD as well as dyslexia.
