Algebra 1 and Elementary Math tutor

Hello!
My name is Chelsea, and I would love to be your tutor! I have 10 years of experience with 1-on-1 tutoring and group tutoring. I have also taught classes at CSU Northridge in English (college-level reading, writing, and analysis), business writing, and public speaking. I have also tutored for the basic math courses at the university. Additionally, I have worked with English-as-a-Second-Language students at LAVCC and am adept at working with students in this area.

In the last few years, I have worked with students from 4th grade to college. I am very familiar with high school materials and love to work with students on developing essays, speeches, and large projects. My experience as a high-school-aged troop leader in Girl Scouts offers me a large knowledge-base of local high school expectations and student needs.

In addition to my academic tutoring, I work with students on time management, organization, and college adjustment. As someone who navigated her BA in 3 years while working, I am well-versed in pushing through day-to-day homework, short-term study sessions, and long-term projects.
