Hello!
My name is Garrett, and as a recent college graduate I am looking forward to continuing my post grad life in education. As an undergrad, I quickly learned that my true passion is assisting those with learning, particularly with math and sciences. I studied Computer Science at Chapman University and minored in Physics.
My favorite part of tutoring would be watching the reaction of those who normally struggle with math and science when they finally understand the subject material and are able to confidently answer questions on their own! I understand that mathematical calculations can be incredibly difficult for some, and I really like to take my time going step by step to help students understand what they are learning.
Additionally, I was a Resident Advisor for Chapman University for 3 years which has really made me enjoy being a guiding factor for students just entering college. My passion truly lines with helping others and acting as a small mentor to those who need guidance.
I take a very patient and friendly approach to tutoring, so even if you feel you are without hope, I promise that with time and practice anyone can become an expert when dealing with math and science problems!
