Qualifications & Experience

California resident with 14+ years of teaching experience at the elementary school level. I have worked with students from kindergarten through middle school on math, science, language arts (reading and writing), and the arts (music, dance, and studio arts). My greatest joy in working with students is to be a facilitator for understanding. Using a variety of methods and incorporating fun and play into the learning process makes for an engaging and deeply satisfying learning experience for my students and myself. I love watching as students who come to me for help transition from their initial state of confusion and desire for understanding to developing not only an understanding of the concepts but also the confidence that begins to exude from them as they realize they are capable of something that once felt out of reach. Its deeply satisfying work!
