I am an experienced teacher and tutor. Teaching has been in the field of communication, such as Business Writing and Public Speaking. Tutoring has been with students from elementary school to college helping with writing (including college essays), reading, critical thinking, homework, study and organizational skills. I work well with people and am fun, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, a good listener, articulate, caring, understanding and able to create a safe environment for students to express themselves and learn and grow. I appreciate the one-to-one experience of tutoring to get to know a student and figure out how we can best work together for the student to get what s/he needs. I see myself as support for the student gaining both increased skills and more confidence.
