I have been tutoring high school and college students over the passed 5 years of my life. I began tutoring students in my Pre-Calculus class in high school, teaching students in my class how to solve functions in order to pass the test. Being a part of student body government led to my continual work as a tutor; once students found out that I was good at tutoring Calculus a year later, my tutoring career truly began. I continued privately tutoring high school students while I attended Santa Monica College, then I transferred to CSUN where I was hired by the school as a 3rd enrollment tutor for students who have previously failed or withdrew from classes twice before. Working at CSUN for over a year and a half has given me confidence in my tutoring ability. I am now able to analyze students a figure out which problems they need more help with., and create alternative problems from my head to keep challenging students. I love my job, I feel like I finally found a way to utilize my brain.
