About Scott

I am a tutor for students in general education and students with special needs. I currently teach on a substitute basis while working on my special education credential.
I am the majority of experience working with elementary and middle school students in math, language arts and social studies. I have also tutored high school students in math and nutrition. I have a strong math, science and history background and can tutor higher levels in these areas.
I am very patient with my students and strive to develop academic confidence. I feel that students are more successful when they have the confidence that they can succeed and master the curriculum.
Most of my experience with students who have special needs are with those who have difficulty attending, Specific Learning Disability and higher functioning autism.
I am passionate about teaching and tutoring and strive for that eureka moment when what I am teaching makes sense to my students.
