Hello! I am a passionate, fun, time-efficient English tutor ready to help students boost grades, test scores, and academic confidence. My goal is to impart habits and strategies that promote solid improvement in the short term and student mastery and independence in the long. I have a bachelor's degree (English) from Fordham University and a master's degree (Curriculum and Instruction) from Boston College's Lynch School of Education (ranked nationally in the top 20). I specialize in developing reading and writing skills and I have a strong insight into what it takes to achieve in class as well as on standardized tests. Will work with parents and teachers to tailor tutoring sessions to the needs of the student. Open to one-time appointments (i.e. essay proofing, homework help) as well as ongoing support (i.e. test prep, sustained practice with gaps in knowledge). Looking forward to working with you!
