Hello!
My name is Lissette Soliz and I have over 10 years of experience working with children and adults with various disabilities as a tutor, teacher, and case manager. I have my Master's degree in Special Education and have been a full-time teacher for the past 4 years. I have a brother who has Asperger's Syndrome and he taught me the beauty of seeing the world in a different way; he helped me foster my love for teaching.
I am certified to teach kindergarten age through age 22, across subjects. I have taught and tutored students from kindergarten through high school. I have experience teaching reading, writing, math, science, social science, study/organizational skills, and activities to strengthen the communication between the left and right side of the brain. I am able to assess students, find the specific areas of need, and apply interventions and strategies to help my students meet their goals. I use research based strategies, hands on activities and engaging lessons to ensure my students are successful.
