Phillip's strengths are Math, Science, and English with special emphasis in the engineering discipline. His philosophy to better engage your learning experience is by taking challenging topics and decomposing them to their fundamental principles so they are easier to understand. This, along with drawing familiar analogies will tend to help you trigger aha moments (like a lightbulb going off). Phillip is confident he can teach you new topics by levering upon concepts and knowledge you already understand. Phillip believes each student is unique and looks forward to tailoring his teaching style to your needs.
A little bit about myself: I love to read science fiction. I'm a left hander as well as a grade skipper . I had the privilege to receive a free public education in California where I grew up. I graduated high school at 16, then from college at the age of 20 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCSD. I have 7+ years of professional experience (and counting!) and have had the honor to work with 100's of talented people across medical, design, and automotive companies.
