For over six years I have been tutoring students in precalculus, calculus, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics; have tutored AP Calculus and Statistics. Coached students 1-on-1, online using Zoom and in classrooms of up to twenty students. Students were in grades 7 to 12; two were college undergraduates.
My teaching approach is to stress concepts, and reinforce concepts with carefully chosen exercises. I believe in the student working and engaging with the material, and help them with stuff or exercises they have difficulty with. I have an affable personality and work well with students, and easily relate to their needs.
Up to the 2002 I worked as an actuary and software developer at various companies, including Nationwide Insurance Co.
