I have a Bachelors degree in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego. My teaching experience first started during my sophomore year of college. I served as Deputy Curriculum Coordinator of the UCSD Flourish program, which taught 4th and 5th graders at Hazel Goes Cook Elementary (Chula Vista, CA) about healthy lifestyle habits and chronic disease prevention. I prepared a year long curriculum that included fun activities, such as food demonstrations and anatomically correct Valentine's day cards, to teach students about nutrition and body systems. In addition, I worked at the Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor. I delivered customized reading, writing, and math lessons to children through an interactive iPad system. I also adapted interactive teaching techniques to suit the needs of children varying from Kindergarten level to the 12th grade.
