About Allison

I have a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and BA in Elementary Education from California State University, Long Beach. I also have a Master's Degree in Elementary Mathematics. I taught first grade for five years and fourth grade for one year. I have tutored students from age 6-17 for 8 years. I have tutored students with Aspberger's, autism, anxiety, and ADHD, as well as foster youth, a celebrity's child, an advanced student taking the SSAT for boarding school, and a high school student trying to raise failing grades. All students I have tutored have had great success - becoming Student of the Month, raising F's to B's, going from minimal letter recognition to reading, and more. I completely adore children of all ages and LOVE teaching. My mission is to get children to believe that they are capable to do and learn ANYTHING they put their mind to; and I'm just that extra push to get them there!
