Hi I'm Michael! I have a degree in Software Engineering with minors in Finance and Music. I've been a professional software developer for over 10 years. I'm looking to give back to the community and foster the next generation of STEM students. I love to teach whether it's teaching an academic subject or teaching a friend how to play a new board game. My goal when teaching is to set my student up for success. I want my student to develop a deep understanding of the subject such that they can not only tackle the current problem at hand, but also be able to absorb new knowledge in the future. I aim to give my student just enough guidance such that they can arrive at the solution themselves. That way my student can be confident that they are able to stand on their own.
The greatest compliment I can receive is if a student tells me that they no longer need my help because they're confident that they can tackle the rest of the school year on their own. I'm basically looking to teach myself out of a job. I am quick to respond to inquiries so please contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
