About Kara

Hello! My name is Kara, and I have been in the education world since 2010, both as a private tutor and a credentialed teacher. I have worked a in both private and public schools.

I have been tutoring since 2010, and have been a classroom teacher since 2013. I have taught multiple subjects in a self-contained classroom to grades 1 and 3.

I am currently a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) specialist and program director at a charter school in south central LA. I teach STEM to grades K-5.

I have taught the CA Content Standards, the Common Core standards, and am currently teaching the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
