I have been a tutor for over 20 years, working across the country in a variety of subjects and environments. Since high school, I've been fortunate to be a tutor, teaching assistant, and lecturer for students ranging from elementary school (3rd-5th grade) through college and postgraduate levels. In addition to formal classroom subjects including biology/life sciences, English, history, mathematics, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy, I have substantial experience teaching study skills and test taking strategies, leading traditional and customized standardized test preparation sessions, and helping craft résumés, school admissions essays, and scholarship and grant applications. I have successfully tutored and taught in classrooms, one-on-one and small groups, and in-person as well as online.
I am passionate about helping each person I work with achieve their goals using tools and techniques that work best for them as an individual. Years of personal work and interactions with students has taught me that there isn't necessarily a "one size fits all" method for academic and professional progress, but that driven, committed people can succeed at anything with the right support... I look forward to providing that for everyone who works with me!
