There, I assisted fellow classmates in preparing for upcoming exams and found great reward in helping others gain confidence in their academics abilities. After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more

Over the past extensive years of schooling I have learned, what are the best ways to learn a lot of material in a very short time and retain them as well. He may not be a real person, but you might remember that Tony Soprano called Newark home. His DiMeo crime family is loosely based on the DeCavalcante crime family, with Vincent “Vinny Ocean” Palermo, former capo, serving as the specific inspiration to Tony. The Italian-American mobster stereotype in Newark is not so out of left field, as organized crime has been an ugly part of the city for generations. Some say that Soprano is actually a stand in for Anthony “Tony Boy” Boiardo, who was the head of the Boiardo crime family. Most places do not have any crime families, let alone enough that there is confusion as to which one you are talking about. Newark was also home to Abner “Longie” Zwillman, who actually did some good in the pre-WWII era as he organized the Minutemen, a group of Jewish prizefighters, truck drivers, and bootleggers that served as a vigilante group to fight Nazis in Newark.
We do not support the organized crime in Newark, but we can provide a nice opposite with organized education. Our network of tutors in the area provide a great way to combat the growth of crime by giving kids the attention they need to achieve more positive goals. What might have been if a young Tony Soprano had gone to geometry tutors in Newark? Could we have seen Tony the architect?
I will admit, organized crime has got the nickname game on lock. There are Big Tonys, Little Tonys, Longie, a hitman called Iceman, Tick-Tock Tannenbaum, Ice Pick Willie, Joe Bananas, Joey Brains, Jackie Nose, and Terry the Left Toe. Alright, that last one was made up, but you believed it for a minute.
What are some good nicknames if you work with a Newark geometry tutor? We already have Joey Brains, but maybe you could be Tommy Two Tangent or Anthony “The Calculator” Pagliaci. We can make math cool again with geometry tutors. In our version of The Sopranos, Tony goes to a psychiatrist because he feels insecure about the Common Core.

Somehow, Newark has been voted the unfriendliest city in America, which is crazy. Who the heck do you think you are to tell me that? Want to fight about it? I will take you down. Okay, maybe we could tone it back a little. What you are probably noticing is what we on the east coast like to call “friendship.” You are probably used to hugs, pats on the back, and words of encouragement, but we show our love by saying things like “why are you such an idiot?” or “get outta here.” It is not personal. We love you. You just do not understand.
When you work with geometry tutoring in Newark, you are going to get someone on their best behavior. They are not going to be holding back insults, but instead, someone who cares about your student. You just know that they can also snap into strict mode when the time is right. It may be something you do not think about with a math tutor, but there is something different about someone who speaks your language. I remember the first time I was in the Midwest and everyone was so nice, I was suspicious. On the east coast, we want a little edge.
With Newark geometry tutoring, you can get someone that speaks your language, even if it is a little saltier than outsiders are used to.
