I recieved my Bachelors at Bard College in upstate NY in Mathematics and Computer Science. I believe in helping students achieve long-term success and retention by using examples and intuition to lead them to a satisfying and meaningful understanding of the topic. Students are often overwhelmed because math feels arbitrary and unmanageable, and they avoid careers which use it. The reward of watching the nebulous anxiety give way to concrete, elegant, and useful perspective motivates my teaching.

To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately. In our fast-paced society, more times than not, students are educated just to be sufficient in a subject. My intent as a tutor is to educate a student to master that subject -- to be proficient in ... See more
My first experience tutoring came while attending the University of Southern California in 2005. There, I assisted fellow classmates in preparing for upcoming exams and found great reward in helping others gain confidence in their academics abilities. After graduation, I was presented with the opportunity to join a network of USC alumni providing tutoring services to the surrounding community. Through this network, I began tutoring elementary and middle school students in their homes, gaining more subject experience and acquiring a ... See more

Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center is right in the middle of Oklahoma City. It is one of the Department of Transportation’s largest facilities that is not located in our nations' capital. It is also one of the largest employers in the metropolitan area of Oklahoma City. This center is a big deal and is honestly the best in the business. The center was named after Senator Mike Monroney who was known as “Mr.Aviation.”
He was the one who created and sponsored the legislation that created the Federal Aviation Administration. Born in Oklahoma City and an alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, “The Sooner State” was in his blood. This legislation that he created played a major role in improving aviation safety and air traffic control. After seeing one too many deadly air crashes he knew something needed to be changed, so he did something about it.
Mr. Aviation was an intelligent man who let his actions speak louder than words and you can learn something from him in your calculus class. This requires action, the more you complain about it the further you are going to fall behind. Stop talking and start acting by working with one of our calculus tutors in Oklahoma City. Just like a pilot utilizes air traffic control when they are flying high, you will use your calculus tutor in the same way.
They are not navigating the plane for you, but they will ensure that you do not fly yourself into outright disaster. HeyTutor only works with tutors that are well trained and have been doing this for years. Just like you do not want to get into a plane with a novice pilot you do not want to learn with a novice Oklahoma City calculus tutor. Professional math tutors are all that we have at HeyTutor.
