I’m extremely satisfied with her “Quality Sessions!” at the highest level of skills in English. My assignment typically requires 5,000 words length, and when summarizing it, it gets complex, ambiguous, redundant. I learned lots of techniques from her how to structure, paraphrase, summarize long and technical subjects in simple and comprehensive way. Not only is she detail-oriented but also people-oriented. She is extremely engaging by motivating learners improve their skills: with her effective communication and efficient way how she manages session by ensuring to meet deadlines. She knows exactly where pain points (learner’s difficulties) & pressure points (enlightenment approach) are, and effectively using her magic fingers (teaching technique) to efficiently relieve the pain (knowledge building). I got smarter by getting her sessions. She teaches like what Confucius says, “Teach them correct principles and let them govern themselves.” Tannaz is the BEST! Highly Recommended!

There are honestly no words that can adequately describe how much Alicia has opened my eyes to my graduate-level stats class. Unfortunately, my current stats professor is a wonderful man yet, he teaches 1+1=2 yet asks 2x2/9 questions. I was contacted by Alicia immediately, and within MINUTES, she replied to my email. After a brief explanation of the criteria I was working on, Alicia jumped right into showing me how to work SPSS. She uploaded the information on her computer and walked me through all of the problems and questions I had. One of the most beneficial aspects Alicia carries is she can grasp whether or not I understood what she was saying and further elaborate if needed. I cannot stress how easy it is to reach her! Within just a few minutes, she responds to my emails (EVEN WHEN I KNOW SHE IS A VERY BUSY WOMAN OUTSIDE OF TEACHING). I could not have asked for a better teacher! I look forward to my grade improving. Above anything, Alicia actually makes stats fun and interesting!

My daughter has a hard time with math and money--repetition is the key with her to grasp math concepts. Paula is working on money with her. Paula is an 'out of the box' thinker and is using the US Quarters map so that my daughter can see and feel and be very familiar with quarters. They also played money games together online to make it fun. Paula took the time to find out what my daughter enjoys, what her hobbies are, so that the reading material she chose was of high interest. She is reading with Paula the middle school series, The Cupcake Diaries (my daughter loves to bake) and I observe her being extremely engaged--she's laughing and giggling and enjoying the story, all while practicing her reading and comprehension skills. My daughter always wants to know when the next tutoring session will be with Paula! Paula is detailed and wants to understand her student's current abilities, interests and motivators in order to achieve the most growth."

Our adult son is on the autism spectrum and struggles with making inferences and reading comprehension. These challenges spill over into his ability to participate in conversations, enjoy movies, and understand the subtleties in the world around him. Our son really enjoys Paula’s upbeat personality and positive approach. We were quite impressed with her ability to quickly understand his challenges and propose solutions in approaching his tutoring. She is willing to look at approaches that are not typical or standard but absolutely work with the way our son learns. In my opinion, her insights can only come from someone who is a parent of a special needs child and truly understands their challenges. We were originally looking for a tutor to help our son with reading comprehension but in Paula, have found someone who is making a positive impact in other areas in his life as well as helping him enjoy a good book. We highly recommend Paula!

Paula has worked with my 14-yr-old son who has autism both recently and when he was younger, just learning to read. My son was in remedial English all last year, but the lessons and learning almost completely stopped in March due to COVID19. My son had a lot of spelling and grammar issues, did not understand some of the assignments, and was only writing 3 sentences when the assignment called for 5 paragraphs. Paula made it fun for my son by gearing her work with him towards subjects that he enjoys. She knows how to draw on his enthusiasm and encourages him to write longer essays, taught him how to edit his work to contain fewer errors, and also helped him learn to make inferences from what he was reading. She gives me regular updates on their work and how well my son is doing. She is very easy to work with and puts in hours of preparation for his sessions--I very highly recommend Paula!".

Shae teaches our daughter Pre-K/K and is simply amazing! She really takes the time to prepare lesson plans for the week and she makes learning fun and interactive. You can tell she loves being a teacher and comes each day with a positive attitude. She has now been working with our daughter for a few months and the growth we have seen is exponential! We truly do not believe our daughter would have learned as much or as quickly being in a regular school setting. In addition, we have seen an emotional growth in our daughter since she has been working with Shae. She is more confident and takes pride in all the schoolwork as she shares with us daily what learned for the day. This experience has exceeded all our expectations and was truly worth the investment. Our daughter loves "Ms Shae" and eagerly awaits her arrival each morning!

We just completed a five-month, three times per week, tutoring schedule with Paula. We came looking for help for our daughter who was struggling with online school and who was unfortunately passed grade to grade without mastering her multiplication tables. We asked Paula to help her learn her times tables, and what we got was a child who went from maybe a 30% in math at the first semester to Bs and grade level passing of the standardized tests at the end of the school year. Paula moved my daughter to division after multiplication and now my daughter feels confident in both. Thank you Paula, so much for your time and patience with our daughter. Highly recommend Paula, she really tries to connect and find the best way your child will be able to learn.

I would recommend Amanda in a heartbeat. She was very easy to work with, always on time and made sure to always notify you if she had an event that came up. My daughter who was in jeopardy of Failing was able to pass her advanced Chemistry class with her help. Also it was always a great plus to see her not fearful of a subject that caused her so much grief. She looked forward to her time with Amanda. I believe she really bonded with her tutor. And when the pandemic hit we had no issue switching to a virtual platform that worked for both of them. Thank you Amanda for all the help and understanding you provide me and my daughter. You will be my first choice should she need help again in the future.

Superb in all respects! She has never ceased to amaze me the way she approaches to learners with her collaborative and creative teaching techniques to inspire learning motivations. She is extremely intelligent and insightful that she can instantly grasp difficulties of what the learners have and enlighten them develop new ways to examine and solve problems with her precise analytics and well-thought-out presentations effectively. It’s just like she knows exactly where pain points are and relieves the pain by applying magic-finger pressure accurately without using needles. Additionally, she has great digital skills enhanced by her best teaching practice. Highly recommended!

While Barry is very patient with my math reluctant daughter, they’ve been making slow progress. Mainly this is my daughter’s fault because she’s not applying herself. However I would also like to see Barry push her a bit harder to stay focused during their sessions and in challenging her with her homework. Hopefully he is taking a very strategic approach to moving her methodically through the material. I’m not there for their sessions, because I know this could further distract her, but I’d like to see Barry have his own act together and push her to do the same. It feels right now like things are going a bit slowly and not directed in a strategic and focused way.

My grandson has been making tremendous strides in 6th grade math since Chia has been working with him. This is the right match! We have had numerous tutors before, but Chia has been able to assist my grandson in understanding math, reasoning it out. He has also working on test preparation and understanding how to extract required information from word problems that is required to solve a math problem. My grandson is more confident in facing math problems. We have switched from home visits to online lessons due to the coronavirus and I see as much learning going on as I did on actual visits. As math is a weak area, I plan on continuing Chia's tutoring next school year.

Nina was/is BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS!!! She is absolutely A-MA-ZING!!! She is a rare find!!! Nina is very easy to work with. She is very patient, friendly, and kind! Best of all, my granddaughter THOROUGHLY ENJOYS WORKING WITH NINA! My granddaughter who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4 is now 18 years old. With Nina's guidance, Lili was able to TYPE on a KEYBOARD her responses (although she is non-verbal). Lili rarely types for anyone. We are so glad that HeyTutor connnected us to such a wonderful person! Nina is so Positive and Motivational. I could go on, but you get the idea! Also, she has supernatural inspiration to motivate learners to work on their own, and to ensure that they meet goals and deadlines. Additionally, she is extremely open-minded and eager to improve learners’ skills and thinking processes for changing better and simpler, and that develops continuous learning mindsets. While coaching learners, she has strong open-eyed ability to stay focused throughout an entire document, which may be long and technical. Highly recommended!

I can't say enough about Tannaz. She met me in crisis, behind in my writing Cbest portion. she understood the sense of urgency to catch up, she is best to accommodate my schedule, and exhibited great patience and compassion during our lessons. I'm a bit of a stressed out learner, she attacked the concepts from different angles until it started to make sense. In my initial tutor search she was a bit out of my budget but I've found the level of conceptual understanding she can give has made her a very valuable resource. At this point I have worked with her for a week and we have 5 more hours to go. You should absolutely consider her for your tutoring needs!

Chia has been tutoring my grandson in math since last fall. My grandson has shown tremendous growth. Chia started by re-teaching areas of deficiency. My grandson is now caught up and even his teacher is impressed with the progress he has made. I am continuing tutoring sessions while the schools are closed so that my grandson maintains and progresses even more. We just switched to the online teaching and it worked well for us. Chia has given my grandson confidence in a subject area he hated. Chia is extremely knowledgeable in math and works extremely well with students in person and online.

i started off knowing the minimal of accounting basics and already by the 3/10 sessions i was able to do journal entries, something i've struggled with for years in college. She is so sweet and will go slow to help you adapt to the information. She relates the problems to your real life to get a better grasp on the content. Being able to do problems out and take notes at a amazing pace has been so helpful! If you still don't understand, she will reexplain to make sure you understand before moving on. Overall she is an amazing tutor 10/10

Ruby, Thank you for my lesson yesterday. You are absolutely delightful. Unfortunately, I have asked for another tutor. I need a more structured teaching experience that is planned ahead with lessons and specific grammatical topics. That's how I learned to speak French and Italian. The situational method doesn't work for me. I can't tell if I am making progress by just memorizing words and phrases. I will not have my lesson on Tuesday night. Priyanka is an amazing tutor. She is thoughtful, patient and very good at communicating ideas and concepts. My 12 year-old son requested to learn Hindi so he can communicate with his grandparents and family in India. My son has learned so much in just a few weeks and looks forward to his tutoring with Priyanka; in fact, he requested adding lessons so that he can learn from her three times a week instead of just two. I highly recommend Priyanka for language tutoring and for any other kind of tutoring. She's wonderful.

Priyanka is doing a solid job tutoring our son. Currently she is teaching him algebra of fractions as well as the basics of cell biology. Our son, 10 years old, is enjoying his tutor sessions and always makes sure he comes prepared. We do not have to remind him to attend which we take as a very good sign that he is indeed enjoying his lessons. The lessons are scheduled in Google Calendar and it is very easy for him to start the video calls himself. We are looking forward to continue working with Priyanka.
