Hello kiddos, my name is Barbara and I like to be called Ms. Bee. Teaching as a tutor is what I have a passion for. I enjoy hiking, reading, solving problems, giving you a great experience in how learning different subjects is all about. I am open minded, generous and loving. My favorite food is Indian and Italian, and ice cream is the desert that hits the “it’s the best day of my life”.

Teaching and tutoring are two of my favorite things to do! I love my job because I get to help students reach their unique academic and personal goals through the fun, interactive learning strategies I've picked up over the years. I am able to assist in all subjects for grades Pre-K/Kinder through 8th grade. In school, my favorite subjects were always English and Social Studies.

I am a CSUN sophomore student who enjoys the outdoors and is always there for others. My years of experience learning have made me aware of the many ways a person can and does learn. I am here to help you with your coursework and help you make sense of any questions or doubts you may have. My biggest goal it to make sure learning is a wonderful experience!

I have taught secondary and post secondary literature and writing since 1997. I am currently a tenured professor at SPC since 2009. I teach all levels of college writing and evaluate college essays. I teach Composition 1, Composition 2, World Literature 1 and 2, Developmental Writing, Technical Writing (resume writing) and Interdisciplinary Studies.

I am a highly dedicated and passionate about the career of nursing! I have experience in various areas of care settings such as Med/Surg, Acute Care, Long Term Care, Rehab and Home Health. I enjoy explaining various concepts of nursing using active learning strategies that promote not only critical but flexible thinking.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science with a focus on Community Health Education. I have worked with children of all ages in various settings with creative and reading activities. I would be more than happy to tutor elementary school students in the area of reading or math and provide help with homework.
