Qualifications & Experience

I'm a recent University of Washington Seattle graduate, with my Bachelor's in Physics and graduated top 10% of my class. I believe that everyone is capable of learning, but sometimes students are left behind and begin to believe they are not capable. The issue isn't the student, it's that everyone learns in a different way, so some get stuck attempting to translate the material into something they can understand. I know how frustrating it can be to force yourself to learn in a manner that your brain isn't wired for. I also know how exciting it is when once-difficult material is taught in a different manner, everything just clicks in your mind and it begins to make sense. When I tutor a student I make it a priority to figure out the student's method of learning, I also try to reword/deconstruct problems so I can tailor them to the students needs, allowing them to better commit the material to long-term memory and enjoy it. There's no such thing as "stupid questions" with me.
