About Sara

I hold a B.S. degree in Secondary Education and English. My main areas of focus are adolescent psychology and English literature.

I have ten years of teaching experience in grades 3 through 9. In that time, I have focused on Spalding certification - which includes extensive training in phonics, fluency, and reading comprehension strategies - and applying those skills in the classroom. I am also a certified Thinking Maps and Write from the Beginning and Beyond trainer, and I have instructed both children and adults on improving their writing practices.

Despite being trained in math, science, and social studies (grades 1 through 8), I specialize in tutoring/offering support in all areas of English Language Arts. My goal is to assist you in succeeding in your respective endeavors, whether it is by helping you with homework or preparing for your next assessment!
