Common Core and Elementary Math tutor

About Patricia

I currently hold a New York State Teaching Assistant Continuing Certificate and I am a student who is finishing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I have completed all of my classes, but will be student teaching in the fall before my degree is conferred. I have worked at the same school district for the past twenty years in various programs - General Education, Special Education, and ESOL.

My specialty is working with small groups or individual students as I am able to zero-in on the diverse needs of my students. I take pride in my work and the relationships that I build with my students so that they can be successful.

I have twenty years' experience working with many types of math programs - especially "Go Math" which is Common Core based. I have also acquired many math skills that I can pass on to assist my students.

I am experienced working with students who are second-language learners in the area of language and vocabulary acquisition.
