My biggest goals as a tutor are to give students the tools and practice to think as scientists, and to be skilled students. Being a good scientist isn’t about already knowing a lot; it’s about knowing how to look for and use patterns. I love teaching students how to find and apply those patterns.
Because students take so many classes, it is also so important to learn how to learn: how to learn science, and how to be a successful student.
Some of my accomplishments:
My AP students have earned the highest score of 5, at 5 times the national rate
10 years high school teaching experience
Master of Science Education, Bachelor of Science, Physics and Secondary Education
Current Liberty Science Center Educator
N.J. Recognition of Excellence, Physics and General Science Licensing Exam (Praxis)
