Qualifications & Experience

Hi! I recently graduated from medical school and am now applying for a family medicine residency, so I have immense experience in standardized tests. I also have more than two years of clinical experience working in hospitals and other clinical settings in a variety of medical fields. I love tutoring and I have been doing it my entire academic career. I'm comfortable with all age groups. I've tutored elementary school kids up to 4th year medical students. I tutor a broad range of subjects but my expertise includes MCAT, USMLE, Science, Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Psychiatry, Endocrinology, and Cardiology. When I do get some free time, I love to be outdoors - playing tennis, hiking, or hanging out at the beach.

Kamal is an excellent tutor. He helped me earn an A in my AP Biology class and he is currently helping me prepare for the SAT. He has a very relaxed, positive attitude and I always feel confident that he is going to have me ready for the next exam. I'm very happy that I found him and I would recommend his services to anyone.

I was failing my Physiology class during my first year in medical school when I realized I needed some extra help. Studying with Kamal was the best decision I made. I only wish I had come to that conclusion earlier. He has a great way of breaking down difficult concepts and making them easily digestible. He was also able to give me some key study tips which allowed me to improve the quality of my study time. I also had him tutor me for the USMLE Step 1 exam and I ended up passing it on the first try with great marks. Kamal focused on high yield subjects and he was able to relate how the subject matter would be presented on the test. It was spot on and I am very grateful. Thanks again Kamal. I'll be seeing you for my Step 2 exam

Do not try this at home – I waited until two days before my comprehensive shelf exam in Behavioral Science to start studying. I was giving more attention to my harder classes and I neglected this shelf exam. Kamal was one year ahead of me in medical school and he was the professor's assistant and I knew he tutored on the side. I told him I was in dire straits and if he could help me in any way. He told me two days would be plenty of time to prepare. I thought he was joking because it is more difficult than a comprehensive final, and I was praying to just pass the exam. It took us the better part of two days but we got through it. Kamal is a wonderful teacher and he was able to teach me the pertinent information in a way that made it so easy to understand I hardly had to memorize anything. I ended up almost getting an A (one point away – 89%) on that exam but it was much more than I had even hoped for. He seriously knows his stuff.
