Introduction to 3D Studio Max
This video is an introduction to the course and to the topics that will be covered! You will learn techniques such as creating basic shapes, modeling, and texturing. The end goal of this course is for you to be able to design your own low poly sword!

This video will serve to familiarize you with the toolbar and other basic functions of 3D Studio Max. The goal is to familiarize you with the functions that will be frequently used throughout the rest of the course! You will also learn to create basic shapes and toggle between shading types.

Sword Handle
Using the functions and tools in the previous video, you will begin your 3DS Max journey to create your ideal Low Poly Sword! You will learn techniques, such as cloning, rescaling, and transforming in this step-by-step guide on how to model your sword handle!

Handguard
In this video you will hone your modeling skills further by modeling the handguards of your sword! The modeling techniques taught in past videos will be revisited and new organizational strategies will be introduced, such as renaming and reorganizing layers!

The Blade
This video will walk you through how to design the blade of your dreams for your Low Poly Sword! Besides building on the modeling techniques you have previously learned, you will improve your skills with new geometric tools, such as the Swift Loop tool, in order to develop unusual geometric figures!

Unwrap the Blade
In this video you will learn how to unwrap the sword blade you created in the previous videos and create a UV map of your model. Unwrapping is the first step you must take before you can begin to texture your sword model! This video will focus specifically on the sword blade to introduce you to the technique of unwrapping.

This video will reiterate the unwrapping techniques taught in the last video. You will now unwrap the handguard of your sword model as means of further practice!

In this video you will learn how to organize all of your previously obtained UVs into one UV map. You will combine all the previously made models into one object and organize the UVs in the UV editor.

This video will teach you how to color in your model using your UV map. You will spend more time learning how to use the UV editor as well!

This video will provide a crossover into another helpful software: Adobe Photoshop (This software is available on a subscription basis, but Adobe does offer a trial version). You will learn how to color the sword model you created on Photoshop!
