I have over four years teaching anatomy and related subjects such as neurobiology and human biology at the college level. Anatomy is a challenging subject, and even more so now that so much instruction is virtual. I find it very satisfying to help students feel confident about approaching this subject, and I feel especially good about training students who will go on to become health professionals. My favorite part of teaching is working directly with students and connecting with students by getting to know them as people.

I've led hundreds of students through dozens of dissections. I've written human anatomy exams for college courses so I know what kinds of questions you should be prepared to answer. I've written exams for both in person and online formats. Throughout my 4+ years of teaching anatomy I've learned a lot of important tricks along the way in terms of how to use your textbook, how to study, and how to avoid relying on memorization which is a critical part of achieving success in anatomy.

I enjoyed teaching anatomy all through graduate school, and I want to continue helping students. I also just enjoy talking about anatomy and I want students to gain an appreciation for the amazing and complex machine that is the human body. Ultimately this is a subject that applies to all of us, and by learning anatomy we learn about ourselves.

Every student can succeed in anatomy - there's no special skill or talent that allows someone to succeed.
