Aside from my passion for learning and teaching, I love to run, hike, and participate in basically anything outdoors!

I have a very strong command of math, and am generally good at explaining it in a way that makes sense. When I'm teaching myself something, my approach tends to be to "big picture first". I start with trying to figure out how everything ties together, and what the general flow of the ideas is, and then worry about details as they are needed. That tends to also be how I teach other people.

To be sufficient in a subject is to be able to perform the problems assigned to you. To be proficient in a subject is to be able to perform any problem that could be assigned to you, or at least tackle them adequately.
