About Louisa

I'm an experienced teacher who has worked with mostly elementary aged children with learning difficulties and autism in the Madison and Dane County area. I focus on phonics-based instruction as this is often the core difficulty that children face -- and something that is not always taught to mastery in schools, although it is a vital skill for advancement in learning. I walk students through the sounds and letters increasing complexity as we go. I'm known as a kind and patient teacher among my colleagues and students. In my spare time, I take in and care for rescue dogs.
