About Alica

Hello! My name is Alica Pascua, and I have been teaching English, Reading, and History to high school students for over 17 years. My Master's Degree is in Education, with a focus on Reading and Literacy. My Bachelor's Degree is in English and Secondary Education. I also have endorsements to teach Reading and English Language Learners. I have extensive experience teaching writing, including research papers, the steps of the writing process, and creative writing. I can help you break writing down into manageable tasks in order to successfully complete your papers. I also have deep knowledge and a strong ability to teach reading strategies, all the way from comprehension strategies for high-level texts to helping students with phonics who are trying to learn to read. Although the majority of my teaching experience is with teenagers, I also am very familiar with the standards for elementary students, and can work with them, as well. I am also an extremely beneficial resource for college students. I am here to help you successfully achieve your goals!
