Hello there! My name is Holly, and I’m so excited to meet you. I’m currently a Junior at Belmont University in the Honors Program, and I’m studying to be a teacher. I’m determined to help you be the absolute best you can be.

Throughout middle and high school, I helped students with English homework whenever I could - I just absolutely love the subject, especially since my mother is an award-winning English teacher in the district. I challenged myself with taking AP Language and AP Literature, the only AP English classes offered at my school, and I was on the honor roll. My grades and dedication eventually helped me become a founding member of our English Honor Society, and my writing style even helped me win a couple of writing contests (Barnes and Noble “My Favorite Teacher” and the TN Electrical Cooperatives’ “Washington Youth Tour.”) Furthermore, I also volunteered my time as a Student Tutor for Mathematics in high school. I taught a variety of subjects, including Algebra 1 and Pre-Calculus. As for Social Studies, I took AP European History, AP US History, and AP Government in high school. I passed every exam, and I was blessed to fall in love with everything I learned. These achievements allowed me to graduate Summa Cum Laude and be an active member in National Honor Society.

When it comes to tutoring, I’m more than willing to do whatever we need to help students understand the material. I’ve always said that learning is never universal, which is why my policy with tutoring is that there are no “dumb” questions or “dumb” students; rather, it’s a unique perspective into how the individual interacts with the world.
Furthermore, I also believe that knowledge can break all barriers. Knowledge can stop wars, find love, or even just keep up your GPA :) I’d love to help you mold your own path - wherever it will take us.

Due to the pandemic and my current study abroad experience, I am only tutoring via Zoom.
