Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 tutor

I am an English Education major at WCU with plans to earn my PhD in comp and rhetoric, and I have tutored students between the ages of 5 and 30 years old. My journey as a tutor began in just third grade when I was chosen to work with kindergartners in my school. My payed experience began in high school. I'm well-versed with common core methods and teaching methods for younger children. In reference to older learners, I am a CRLA certified tutor & currently hold positions both as an academic development writing and reading tutor at WCU's Learning and Resource Center and a writing tutor at the school's writing center. I feel confident tutoring and even teaching in a variety of subjects, so feel free to ask— If I can't help, I definitely know future teachers in the subject area that can! I have taken multiple courses on tutoring as well as tutoring English language learners and students with disabilities, specifically. I've spent thousands of hours tutoring, and my goal is to lead students to become independent, active learners.
