18 year licensed Ohio Managing Cosmetologist, Instructor for Aveda Institutes in Columbus OSU campuses in both Cosmetology and Esthetics as well as Raphael's School of Beauty, and Redkens school The Salon Professional Academy in Mayfield Heights, Platform Artist for Schwartzkopf Professional. I also have a 8 chair salon in Canton, Ryan Douglas Salon. I have extensive knowledge, training and handson experience in every area of education to technical skills. I also further my training after attending National Beauty College in Canton to work and apprentice for a year at internationally renowned spa in Columbus at Charles Penzones Family of Salon and Spas. I left to be one of the first few stylists to open the first location of Salon Lofts in 2004, and later open my own salon downtown Columbus. I love working as a stylist, but I equally love teaching new cosmetology students because they excite me again with their eagerness to learn the business, but they're not always keen on State Board studying...so I make it fun and use tips and tricks to help them remember the information for a lifetime, not just temporarily. I've had every single student of mine pass state board the first time, for both the written and technical testing in Esthetics and Cosmetology.
