Qualifications & Experience

As a physician training to be a neurologist, I care a lot about the brain. I have over 10 years of experience not only as a private tutor in math and science, but also as a mentor for college and medical school applications.

Student-centered teaching with a growth mindset is my priority. I work with students and their families to understand their personal academic needs and goals, whether that’s passing the chemistry final, finishing Ivy League applications, managing homework with ADHD, or all of the above.

During sessions, we work together using evidence-based learning techniques like spatial modeling and timed repetition to make our time high yield not only for mastering the material at hand, but also for developing durable studying skills. After sessions, I am always available to meet with parents to update them on progress.

Finally, some of the most important themes I incorporate are stress-management skills – the kind that help build healthy and resilient students who are ready for the next challenge.
