As an Elementary School Teacher, I have plenty of experience working with and teaching students. I am responsible for the learning of a group of heterogenous students, who require differentiated lessons. I have experience and training for students with learning differences and working with students in general education.
As a tutor, I am able to focus on individual students and their needs. This sometimes includes varying teaching techniques to ensure that I reach every student. Working one-on-one with students is extremely beneficial for me. I thoroughly enjoy understanding every students' learning styles and incorporating that into my lessons.
I offer math tutoring in decoding word problems, simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Additionally, I offer services covering higher-level math including: elapsed time, probability, multi-digit multiplication, long division, and working with fractions, decimals and percents. I have a vast knowledge of reading comprehension and different writing techniques that I look forward to sharing with individual students!
