Hi ! My Name is Elisa Morante. I am a New York State Certified Social Studies Teacher for grades 5-9th grade. I have been teaching social studies for the past four years. I have worked in both Charter and Public schools, both Middle and High school level. I have experience in teaching grades 6th-8th grade as well as experience with working with 9th grade level students. During my teaching experience I have taught various content levels of history ranging from World History, American/US History, Global studies, Government and Politics, and Geography. I have taught history courses at an AP level for APUSH and AP European History curriculum lessons. Through my teaching experience I have had the pleasure of providing tutoring experiences to small groups, 1:1 sessions and providing additional supports for students with varying learning needs.

I have specifically tutored in American History and Global History, however I have also tutored in ELA/English through small group instruction in preparation for the ELA NYS State Test. As well as tutoring English skills such as reading, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing. I have my Bachelors in Adolescent Education, subject area: History/Social studies 7-12th grade. I have my Masters in Education. I also have my TESOL/TEFL certification and have experience working with ESL/EL/ENL students.

Teaching is a passion of mine, as I truly enjoy working with students with varying learning needs and supporting them in achieving their learning goals. Overall I have experience working with children from Elementary grades -High school level in ALL subjects!
